Eldest son of Peggy and Ralph Carter (deceased) of St Lucia, Brisbane.
Loving father of Sam and Lilian, grandfather of Finn, Matilda, Edith and Alfred. Husband of Anabel.
Brother to Susan, Lesley, Julie and Anthony. An uncle, great uncle, friend, brother-in-law, father-in-law, colleague and fellow adventurer.
Antarctic expeditioner, Polar Medal recipient, civil engineer, vigneron, rugby player, avid sportsman and so much more.
David grew up in Brisbane, explored the world, and settled in Victoria.
There will be a memorial service in Melbourne on Monday the 14th of April at the Harlequin Rugby Union Football Club, Power Avenue, Ashwood commencing at 12 noon.
