Choosing a cremation or a burial for yourself or a loved one at end of life is a major decision for most to consider.
For many, the decision is based on spiritual or cultural considerations.
For others, it’s just what generally happens in their family or it comes down to personal preference.
Certainly, from a cost perspective … cremation is definately a lot more affordable than a burial
If you do chose to be cremated at the end of your life, you have a few options available to you.
Unattended Cremation:
You may wish to be cremated and not to have any service or ceremony at all.
Perhaps funerals and ceremonies weren’t your thing and you you want the simplest and most fuss-free option available to deal with the care of your mortal remains. In this regard, an Essential Care Cremation Package would be the perfect choice for you or a loved one.
Private Cremation and Memorial Service:
Some individuals may want their life to be celebrated but do not want their physical remains present at the ceremony.
At a “Memorial Service” the coffin holding the deceased person is not present at the ceremony and the cremation is held prior to or after the service. This type of service opens up so many options for where the ceremony is held. Anywhere you are allowed to gather as a group is suitable for a memorial service, the sky is the limit!
Funeral Service with a Cremation:
The most traditional form of funeral service is to have either a religious or non-religious service with the coffin present. The cremation is co-ordinated to happen after the funeral service at a crematorium that the family can nominate if they wish. The service can be held in a church of the person’s faith, or it can be held at any venue that is open to having a coffin present for an hour or so prior to the cremation taking place.
Cremated Remains:
With the cremated remains of the individual, there are many options avaiable.
*They can be returned to the family at a nominated time;
*They can be memorialised at a cemetery or memorial park of your choice;
*They can be held at the crematorium until the family decide what they would like to do.
