Built in 1928 by master craftsmen using materials salvaged from historic public buildings, the Wattle Park Chalet is listed on both the Heritage Victoria and National Trust Registers and is becoming a popular Surrey Hills Funeral Venue. The Chalet has operated continuously since it opened and is thought to be the only café, dance hall and reception venue dating from the 1920s that remains operational in its original form.
The Wattle Park Chalet is located 1012 Riversdale Road, Surrey Hills which is conveniently only 10km from the CBD and is surrounded by glorious views of 137 acres of beautiful parkland. The chalet offers a beautiful, ambient atmosphere from which to conduct a farewell ceremony for your loved one whilst they overlook the beautiful, Wattle Park gardens and parkland. After the ceremony, your guests are able to enjoy refreshments provided by the experienced hospitality team at Provincial Catering.
